Coffee is quite inert, from a nutritional standpoint. Virtually no calories, fat, carbohydrates, no sodium, no cholesterol. But coffee gives a small number of minerals (thiamine, niacin, folic acid, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese), and also serves as a good source of potassium, pantothenic acid and riboflavin.
